Sorry about the delayed post, this is my research about current library competitors that are potentially influencing peoples use of the library.
Two main recent factors:
-kindles and e books (provide a much cheaper, easier and more accessible alternative to what the library offers, also no returns, late fees)
-internet, this competes with people using the library as a research tool (not just for leisure)
Online book shopping also came up as something that might be causing people to use the library less however i dont think this applies to our target age group as we generally arent buying hard copy books due to lack of storage/money.
