A Website Concept

The Library needs more online presence. The website is a big part of the digital space of the library as it is used by not only people who are at the library but also for people to access from a distance to find books or find out about events.

The current WCL website has a lot of content. Sorting the content in a simple, easy and effective way would allow the user to easily access information. There should be an emphasis on important elements as well such as :

-Library Catalog
A search bar appear on each page

-Library Service
A "Ask a Libarian" option
Promote Libraryelf?

-Social Media
Social media icons visible around content

For visual content many people our age do see visuals first. For a refreshed look, We could possibly incorporate words such as inspire, Learn, engage to generate imagery, text (Header/image text) and colour for the web design.

The idea of adding block colours and imagery to get rid of the feeling that the library is boring.
