Summer in the Square
-An event that would be hosted by the wellington central library utilizing the civic square area.
-Moving current indoor event activities they currently have outside for the summer.
-Have beanbags/comfortable seating areas, use the large grass area?
-Would need some sort of umbrella shade thing though

Stay entertained (and warm!) this
winter and join us at the Central Library for board games on Wednesday
evenings in the Young Adult area. We’ll provide the games (but feel free to
bring your own along, too) the location and (very importantly) the warmth,
all you need to bring is enthusiam, some friends, and perhaps a competitive
streak. Aim for a Scrabble high score, show your hand or perhaps perfect
your poker face in your favourite card game!

From 5th March, on Thursday
evenings we are trialling screening feature films from the library’s
collection on the Ground Floor of the Central Library. Sessions begin at
6pm and will be held in the class visit area (turn right at the entrance).
These screenings are free to attend. The first few will feature films based
on books.
To avoid disappointment reserve
your seat by telephoning 801-4068 during library opening hours.
Note : reservations not taken up by
the starting time at 6pm may be reallocated to customers waiting, as
numbers are limited.
Other events could include:
-Book swapping: Bring in old or new and swap for another
-Power supplies also available for outside?
